We pride ourselves on our book selection.  Although we have a small space, we try to offer as many book sections as possible.  It may take some time, but you’ll always find something interesting and out of the ordinary here at Crackskull’s.   If you don’t see the book or section you’re looking for, just ask!  We can always keep an eye out for that special book you’re hunting for.

Sell Us Your Books

That’s right, we buy your books.  100% of our inventory is purchased from our customers, resulting in a very eclectic selection.  We buy books Monday through Friday, from 8:00am until 4:00pm.  An appointment is not needed; however, expect to leave your books with us for up to a week.  Unfortunately, we cannot go through your books while you wait.  Within a week, we will call with a cash or credit value, and you will usually have leftover books to take back with you.  It’s very rare that we accept every book in a lot. The kinds of books that we buy is constantly changing, depending on our inventory.  But here are some rough guidelines for you to follow.

We like to offer the best of used books, so book condition is extremely important to us.  For the most part, we do not take books that have writing, highlighting, or underlining in them.  We do not take coverless books, or books with lots of spine damage.  Also, no books with mold or water damage will be accepted.  We also do not buy magazines, encyclopedia sets, comic books, or text books.

What we do buy are newer books in good condition.  We like to keep our collection somewhat current, so please, no old travel guides or manuals.  If you are unsure whether or not to bring in certain books, we will be happy to answer your questions over the phone.  Books are heavy and difficult, and we’d like to save you hassle of bringing them here if you don’t have to.

Keep in mind, we gratefully accept donations of all kinds seven days a week.
